THE USE OF ALBIZIA FALCATARIA WITH CONDENSED TANNIN CONTENT ON IN VITRO GAS PRODUCTION AND RUMINAL FERMENTATION

This study was aimed to evaluate Albizia falcataria with condensed tannin content in the diets on gas production and ruminal fermentation parameters. A completely randomized design (CRD) fours treatment five replications had applied this study. The combined of Brachiaria mutica namely; R0: 60% (BM) + 0% (AF) 40% concentrate (CON), R1: 50% BM 10% AF CON, R2: 20% CON R3: 30% CON. formulated using feed ingredients consists 58% rice bran, 15% soybean cake meal, corn, 1% salt, multi-vitamin minerals. Diets samples were incubated at 39oC. volume CH4 recorded manually 3, 6, 9, 12, 24, 48 h post-incubation. Dry matter digestibility (DMD), organic (OMD), pH, N-ammonia (N-NH3), protozoa count, microbial protein (MP) measured showed that increased use decreases (P<0.05) total gas, CH4, percentage increases potency reduction CH4. There is a negative correlation (R2= 0.81) between levels production. Concentration N-NH3 count significantly lower R1, R2, R3 than R0 (without AF). As well as MP concluded diet (30% : AF) forage source reduced methane by 62.31% 25.73%, increasing MP, without retarded activity rumen microbes.
